Cemeteries of Callaway County

The Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society has dedicated itself to providing information on the cemeteries of Callaway County, Missouri in the hope that this information will help keep alive the memories of our pioneer forefathers and what their sacrifices have meant to the history, growth and development of this county. Many of the burial sites of this county are small, isolated burial sites that contain historical and genealogical information valuable to Callaway County researchers and descendants. Over the course of the years, changes in ownership of the land on which these burial sites lie have allowed them to fall into disrepair and the encroachment of agriculture, businesses and residences have made their very existance endangered and their condition is deplorable. On the web pages which are linked to from this page, we will attempt to provide information pertaining to their exact location, dates of first burial, dates of last burial, number of stones, and the general condition of the cemetery or burial site as we know it today in the hope that you will join with us in protecting and preserving their existance and helping to make a permanent record of our pioneer forefathers who are buried there. The following links are our early attempts to provide this information to the public to enlist your aid in helping us to locate all of these burial sites in Callaway County, to actively list the burials in each burial site for a permanent record for the future, and to photograph these burial sites to educate the public as to their general condition and in the event that efforts to save them fail.
